ASTAR is recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing company based in Tanjung Malim.

Job Title: Quality Technician (Measurement & CMM)
Location: Tanjung Malim, Perak
Department: Quality / Inspection
Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Technician with hands-on experience in measurement tools and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to support inspection and quality assurance activities.
Candidates with a quality background and manufacturing exposure will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspection using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges.
- Operate and support CMM inspection activities according to drawings and specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection standards.
- Record, analyze, and maintain inspection results and quality reports.
- Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
- Assist in quality investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Ensure inspection activities comply with quality standards and procedures.
- Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives when required.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with measurement tools and CMM is required.
- Background in Quality Control / Quality Assurance will be an advantage.
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand inspection criteria.
- Familiar with basic quality systems and documentation.
- Detail-oriented, disciplined, and able to work independently.
Preferred / Advantage
- Experience in manufacturing or automotive-related industries.
- Knowledge of ISO / IATF standards is an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates with strong internship exposure in measurement/CMM may be considered.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month

- Measurement tool & CMM experiences : 1 year (Preferred)
