The Education Counsellor (Chinese Market) plays a critical role in driving Formee Express’s mission to guide students toward successful overseas education opportunities. This position is responsible for providing expert counselling, end-to-end application support, and proactive recruitment efforts to help students from diverse backgrounds achieve their academic goals at top universities worldwide.

Key to this role is managing the full student journey — from initial enquiry and lead conversion through to final enrolment — while delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships with students, parents, and university partners. The officer will actively promote Formee Express in the local market, leverage CRM tools to optimise conversion rates, and contribute to increasing Chinese student enrolment across key destinations including the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, China, and other regions.

This position is ideal for a passionate, target-driven professional who excels at combining student counselling with recruitment excellence, ensuring every student receives personalised guidance and support throughout their overseas education journey.

Student Counselling & Application Support

• Provide comprehensive guidance to students and parents throughout the overseas education journey, from university shortlisting and course selection to application submission and admission follow-up.
• Deliver accurate and timely advice on course options, admissions, enrolment, fees, scholarships, advanced standing, visa processes, and the Formee Express student portal.
• Assist with end-to-end application support, including preparation and review of application forms, Statement of Purpose (SOP), recommendation letters, and other documentation.
• Offer guidance on student life matters such as finances, accommodation, public transport, cultural adjustment, and access to support networks.

Recruitment, Lead Conversion & Enrolment

• Manage the full student recruitment lifecycle from initial lead generation to final enrolment.
• Convert leads into confirmed enrolments using effective sales techniques, personalized communication, and proactive follow-up strategies.
• Conduct presentations in the local marketplace and implement marketing strategies to attract international students from diverse regions.
• Track and analyze lead conversion performance, adjusting tactics to optimize recruitment results and maximise enrolment targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and university partners to enhance student experience and support recruitment goals.

Enquiry Management & Follow-up

• Handle all incoming student enquiries through website, social media, live chat, phone, email, and in-person channels.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with students and parents via phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person consultations to maintain engagement and resolve queries promptly.

Administration & CRM Management

• Maintain accurate student records, track application progress, and update the internal CRM system (with AI integration) to ensure efficient workflow and data integrity.
• Develop and maintain a detailed pipeline of leads with timely follow-up to maximise conversion rates.
• Identify and implement service and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and student experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any field (Education, Counseling, International Relations, Business, or related fields will be highly advantageous; Master’s degree is a plus).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in international student recruitment, overseas education admissions, or student counseling for secondary, vocational, or post-secondary institutions.
• Proven experience in recruiting students for programs in the Asia, UK and/or USA is highly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of international admission processes, entry requirements, scholarships, and visa procedures for key destinations, particularly the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Mandarin-speaking countries (China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore).
• Native or near-native fluency in both written and spoken Mandarin
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English is essential.
• Hands-on experience with CRM systems (essential) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working with educational consultants and university partners.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
