Job Summary:

The Traffic Management Officer is responsible for monitoring and managing traffic operations, enforcing traffic laws, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of transportation systems. This role involves working closely with other agencies, such as law enforcement and public transportation departments, to ensure effective traffic control and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Traffic Monitoring: Oversee traffic flow in designated areas, using traffic management tools, cameras, and real-time data systems.
• Enforcement of Traffic Laws: Enforce local and national traffic laws, issue citations for violations (speeding, illegal parking, running red lights), and ensure vehicles comply with road regulations.
• Traffic Incident Management: Respond to accidents, road closures, and incidents, redirecting traffic as necessary to minimize disruptions.
• Public Safety: Maintain public safety on the roads, ensuring that emergency vehicles can pass freely and helping with crowd control at large events or during emergencies.
• Road Signage and Marking: Inspect, maintain, and adjust road signs, signals, and traffic lights to ensure clear communication to drivers.
• Traffic Plans and Analysis: Assist in creating traffic control plans for roadwork projects, events, and other situations that may cause congestion or require special attention.
• Collaboration: Work with local law enforcement, public safety agencies, and transportation officials to address traffic issues and improve overall traffic flow.
• Public Education: Educate the public on traffic safety, laws, and regulations through campaigns, community outreach programs, or direct interaction.
• Reporting: Document traffic-related issues, accidents, citations, and road condition reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Special Projects: Participate in special traffic management projects, including new traffic flow systems, construction zone management, and public events.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
