Arya Mantanani Resort is seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Resort Manager to lead our pre-opening phase. This role is critical in ensuring the successful setup, construction coordination, and full operational readiness of the resort prior to its official opening.

This is a pioneer role for candidates who are passionate about building a resort from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Opening & Project Management

• Lead and manage all pre-opening activities, including planning, setup, and operational readiness.
• Work closely with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders during the construction phase.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion aligned with the opening timeline.
• Develop resort concept, guest journey, and operational flow.

Operations Setup

• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Guest Services).
• Establish operational systems, service standards, and policies.
• Oversee procurement and setup of resort facilities and equipment.

Team Building & Leadership

• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of the pre-opening team.
• Build a strong, service-oriented, and high-performance team culture.
• Ensure all staff meet professional hotel/resort service standards.

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

• Drive high standards of guest satisfaction and service quality.
• Develop and maintain premium guest experience aligned with resort positioning.
• Handle guest feedback and continuously improve service delivery.

Financial & Administrative Management

• Manage budgeting, cost control, and resource planning during pre-opening.
• Monitor operational expenses and ensure cost efficiency.
• Prepare reports and updates for Management.

Compliance & Maintenance

• Ensure compliance with local authority requirements, safety standards, and licensing.
• Oversee maintenance readiness of all resort facilities prior to opening.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel or resort operations.
• At least 4 years as Assistant Resort Manager (or equivalent in hotel/resort)
• At least 1 year as Resort Manager / Acting Resort Manager
• Open for Sabah citizens ONLY
• Preferred Hotel/Resort experience required
• Experience in pre-opening or new resort setup is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, operational, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on and able to work in a construction / developing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Guest Services operations.
• Able to work and stay in island environment (Pulau Mantanani).

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
