Job Description
- Assist with the preparation of ingredients, ensuring they are washed, cut, and organized as per the recipes and instructions
- Follow recipes and cooking methods to prepare a variety of dishes to the expected high standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure the smooth running of operations
- Restock and replenish ingredients and equipment as needed
- Participate in menu planning and development as required
Requirement
- At least 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a Commis or entry-level culinary role
- Strong practical cooking skills and the ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen brigade
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
- A keen interest in food, cooking, and the hospitality industry
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications would be an advantage
