Position Summary — Finance Controller

As a key member of our financial leadership team, the Finance Controller will oversee financial planning, reporting, controls, and strategic decision support. This role requires deep expertise in accounting and finance, along with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. The role will act as a bridge between financial and non-financial stakeholders, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and process optimization while driving business growth.

Job Responsibilities

● Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budget development (revenue, cost, productivity) and monthly rolling forecasts, analyzing performance against targets and setting actionable goals.

● Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly performance reviews, variance reports, and ad-hoc financial analyses to support business decisions.

● Cost Control: Optimize cost structures by identifying savings opportunities, implementing efficiency strategies, and monitoring expenditures.

● Risk Management: Assess financial risks, design mitigation policies, and ensure robust internal controls.

● Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and corporate financial policies.

● Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and implement best practices to enhance financial operations.

● Business Partnership: Provide data-driven insights to executives, supporting strategic planning and execution.

Required Qualifications & Experience

● Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

● 10+ years of financial management experience, preferably including CPA firm exposure.

● Strong analytical skills with a track record of translating strategic vision into operational models.

● Excellent communication in written and verbal, With strong judgment and decision-making skills, interpersonal communication and coordination skills, planning and execution skills.

● Proven leadership in financial reporting, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration.

● Language Skills : English, Malay, Mandarin.

● Meticulous and rigorous work, and strategic forward-looking thinking, good expression skills and team spirit.
