Chargeman (Class A4) – Facilities & Building Maintenance Requirements

• Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Valid Class A4 Chargeman Certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities, hotel, or building maintenance operations.
• Strong understanding of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) for building systems.
• Basic communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written & spoken).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
• Willing to work extra hours during major events, breakdowns, or emergencies.

Responsibilities1. Electrical Maintenance (Core Function)

• Perform daily operation, troubleshooting, repair, and PPM for all low-voltage electrical systems, including:
• Distribution boards & switchboards
• Lighting systems
• Backup generator
• Earthing & bonding
• Electrical panels and control units
• Ensure minimal downtime and safe operation of all electrical assets.

2. ST Competent Person

• Serve as the appointed Chargeman A4 for the building.
• Ensure full compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) laws, audits, and requirements.
• Maintain proper logbooks, schedules, and ST documentation.

3. Safety, Inspection & Compliance

• Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with:
• Bomba requirements
• JKKP (DOSH)
• ST regulations
• Ensure all electrical and building systems follow safety SOPs and statutory requirements.

4. Building Maintenance Support (Hospitality-Standard Operations)

• Work closely with the maintenance team to manage and monitor all building systems, including:
• Air-conditioning & HVAC systems
• Plumbing & water supply
• Mechanical equipment
• Fire protection systems
• Escalators/lifts (where applicable)
• Ensure all Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules are carried out, documented, and follow service standards similar to hospitality or large-building facility operations.

5. Vendor & Contractor Supervision

• Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors for specialized work.
• Verify job completion, safety compliance, and service quality for all building-related services.

6. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare monthly maintenance reports covering breakdowns, inspections, PPM, and improvement recommendations.
• Record electrical readings, maintenance logs, inventory, and safety checklists.

7. Safety & Efficiency

• Ensure all work is performed safely with adherence procedures.
• Identify risks, propose corrective actions, and maintain efficient operation of building systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
