Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for overall planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects to ensure completion within timeline, budget, and quality standards. The candidate must have strong experience in high-rise building construction, capable of managing multiple stakeholders, subcontractors, and technical teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Management

  • Plan, organize, and manage construction projects from start to completion.
  • Develop project schedule, work program, and milestones.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure completion according to timeline.
  • Ensure project objectives are achieved.

2. High-Rise Project Execution

  • Manage construction of high-rise building including structure, architectural, and M&E works.
  • Coordinate high-rise construction activities such as piling, substructure, superstructure, finishing, and facade works.
  • Ensure proper sequencing of works to avoid delays.
  • Monitor productivity and performance of subcontractors.

3. Cost Control & Budget Management

  • Monitor project budget and ensure cost control.
  • Review variation orders (VO) and project claims.
  • Work closely with Quantity Surveyor on costing matters.
  • Ensure project financial performance is within target.

4. Contract Administration

  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Review project documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Manage project risks and contractual issues.
  • Liaise with client and consultants on contract matters.

5. Quality Management

  • Ensure construction works meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures.
  • Monitor workmanship quality and compliance.

6. Safety Management

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations (CIDB & DOSH requirements).
  • Promote safe working environment on site.
  • Ensure safety procedures and policies are implemented.

7. Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead and manage project team including Site Engineers, Supervisors, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with consultants, client, and internal departments.
  • Conduct site meetings and progress meetings.
  • Provide guidance and direction to project team.

8. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare project progress reports and management updates.
  • Monitor project risks, delays, and issues.
  • Maintain proper project documentation.
  • Report project status to senior management.

Job RequirementsEducation

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Building or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 8–12 years working experience in construction industry.
  • Must have experience handling high-rise building projects.
  • Experience in main contractor company preferred.

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
