Requirements:
- A recognized Degree/Diploma in Land surveying or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years related working experience in the construction of buildings (relevant high-rise buildings experience).
- Self-motivated, initiative, independent with good interpersonal skills.
- Capable to handle and operate Survey instruments or equipment.
- High level of integrity and meticulousness
- Ability to well communicate with all levels of people.
- Capable to execute tasks independently and giving appropriate guidance to the site staff.
- Work Location: Langkawi, Kedah.
Responsibilities:
- Implement all policies, activities, procedures, instructions as relevant and required by the QESH Management System.
- Comply with client and applicable legal and other requirements.
- Implement plan actions from risks and opportunities assessment.
- Take responsibility and accountability for prevention of work-related injury and ill health in own specific area of work/responsibilities.
- Establish centreline/gridlines reference point of structure, offset reference’s points/structure and TBM (temporary bench mark) for level reference.
- Carry out accurate setting out and fixing of levels for any part of the works as accordance to the drawings and for checking the same at any time as required by the Project/Site Engineer.
- Record and prepare as-built drawings for actual field survey clearly incorporating any changes deviations from the original plan.
- Maintain and ensure calibration of survey instruments and equipment so that the same are capable of performing correctly to produce valid data.
- Calculate and maintain record of detailed calculations pertaining to control alignment for roadworks etc.
- Assist the Site Quantity Surveyor in calculations of quantities involving field data like earthworks and items involving physical measurements on site.
- Carry out survey for interim payment where required.
- Undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior.
