Description :
Splicer is responsible for joining and connecting fiber cables. Their job scope typically includes:
1) Cable Preparation: Stripping and preparing cable ends for splicing.
2) Splicing Techniques: Using various techniques (mainly fusion splicing) to connect fiber cables.
3) Testing: Conducting tests to ensure proper connectivity and signal integrity.
4) Documentation: Maintaining records of splicing work and test results.
5) Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring splicing tools and equipment are in good working order.
6) Fieldwork: Often working on-site in various environments, which may include underground, aerial, or indoor settings.
6) Collaboration: Working with engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure project requirements are met.
