About the role:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and developing long-term strategic relationships within the IT infrastructure and data centre industry. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing tailored IT solutions for clients, and achieving ambitious sales targets in alignment with company growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic business development and sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in IT infrastructure, data centre, cloud, and hosting markets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with enterprise clients, system integrators, and key decision makers.
- Understand client requirements and collaborate with internal technical teams to design suitable IT infrastructure solutions.
- Drive end-to-end sales cycle including lead generation, solution preparation, proposal preparation, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Prepare and manage quotations, proposals, contracts, and sales documentation.
- Follow up on order processing, payment collection, and coordination of delivery or service implementation.
- Represent the company in industry events, conferences, exhibitions, and networking sessions to strengthen brand presence.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities.
- Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs.
- Work closely with internal departments (technical, operations, finance) to ensure smooth project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Management.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development / Sales, preferably in IT infrastructure, Data Centre, Cloud, Hosting, or Enterprise IT solutions.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure products/services such as servers, storage, networking, virtualization, or cloud hosting.
- Prove track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles and engage with enterprise-level clients.
- Self-motivated, target driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking ability.
- Proficiency in Mandarin, English, and/or other languages is an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings events, and industry engagements when required.
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
