Description :

Marifah International School is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR and Compliance Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this key role, you will support the HR Manager in overseeing daily human resource operations and ensuring compliance with school policies and Malaysian labor regulations. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and capable of handling HR-related tasks independently while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality. This position plays an essential part in promoting efficiency and compliance within the HR department and across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate recruitment processes, including posting job ads, screening applicants, conducting initial interviews, and scheduling meetings with hiring managers.
  • Respond to applicant inquiries and maintain clear communication throughout the hiring process.
  • Publish internal announcements and official circulars on the school’s communication platforms (HR system, WhatsApp groups, etc.).
  • Prepare and manage employee attendance and absence reports using the biometric system.
  • Ensure all staff and teacher files are complete and up to date with required documents.
  • Follow up with department heads to collect and review job descriptions for their teams.
  • Review and draft job descriptions in compliance with Malaysian employment regulations.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries and escalate concerns to senior management when necessary.
  • Monitor and manage staff requests through the HR system and liaise with relevant departments.
  • Track and approve staff leave and permission requests.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating employee performance evaluations and appraisals in collaboration with the HR Manager.
  • Review and prepare employment contracts in accordance with Malaysian labor laws.
  • Liaise with government agencies such as KWSP, PERKESO, and other relevant bodies regarding HR matters.
  • Handle visa application files for foreign staff and respond to inquiries or comments from ESD.
  • Assist in the preparation of HR reports, action plans, and documentation in coordination with the HR Manager.
  • Follow up with academic and administrative departments to submit their annual departmental plans.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff and teachers on how to use the HR management system effectively.
  • Coordinate with the Visa Department to follow up on requirements for issuing visas for foreign staff.
  • Follow up on HR-related tasks and assignments delegated by the HR Manager.

Requirements:

  • Malaysian citizen
  • Minimum Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in human resource management or administrative roles.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with HR systems or software.

Working Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8AM - 2:30PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
