Compliance Assistant
KJ Group MY (Labuan-based, HQ in Japan)
We are seeking a high-caliber and integrity-driven Compliance Assistant to join our growing team. This role is responsible for supporting compliance-related activities and ensuring adherence to regulations set by the Labuan Financial Services Authority (Labuan FSA), as well as applicable local laws, rules, and internal policies.
Job Descriptions
- Assist in liaising with Labuan FSA on compliance matters and support the effective implementation of AML/CFT policies and procedures.
- Support the review and evaluation of client onboarding documentation in line with AML, KYC and CFT requirements.
- Provide legal and regulatory assistance to management and internal departments on operational and compliance-related matters.
- Support the execution of day-to-day compliance monitoring activities as directed by the Head of Compliance.
- assist in coordinating internal compliance reviews and audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
- help develop, maintain, and update compliance records, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in compliance training sessions and contribute to fostering a culture of compliance across the organization.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year with AML, KYC, and CFT requirements; experience in trust companies or digital financial services (DFS) is an advantage
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (other languages are an added advantage).
- strong professional integrity, good analytical skills, a proactive learning mindset, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
