Description :

Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management System (QMS)

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in compliance with ISO 9001, and other applicable ISO standards.
  • Ensure compliance with API standards.
  • Act as the Management Representative for quality-related matters.
  • Prepare, review, and control quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, and records.

Audit & Compliance

  • Plan and conduct internal audits, supplier audits, and support external audits (ISO, API, customer, and regulatory).
  • Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure timely closure.
  • Liaise with certification bodies, clients, and regulatory authorities during audits and inspections.

Production & Process Quality

  • Ensure quality control plans, inspection test plans (ITP), and procedures are effectively implemented.
  • Monitor product conformity throughout manufacturing processes including machining, threading, welding, coating, or assembly (as applicable).
  • Review and approve inspection records, material certifications, and final release documentation.

Customer & Supplier Quality

  • Handle customer complaints, non-conformance reports (NCR), and root cause analysis.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate and qualify suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality compliance.

Risk Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify quality risks and implement mitigation plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools (e.g. RCA, FMEA, PDCA).
  • Analyze quality data and KPIs to improve operational efficiency and product quality.

Training & Leadership

  • Train and guide QAQC team members on ISO, API, and quality procedures.
  • Conduct quality awareness training for production and support departments.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the QAQC team to ensure competency and performance.

Authority

  • Authority to stop production or delivery in the event of quality non-conformance.
  • Approval authority for quality documents, inspection reports, and release notes.
  • Recommend improvements to processes, systems, and suppliers.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in QAQC, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong experience in manufacturing and offshore / oil & gas-related industries.
  • Proven experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 and API Q1/Q2 systems.
  • Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001) is an advantage.

Knowledge & Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of ISO standards, API standards, and quality tools.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and inspection techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Good communication skills to interact with clients, auditors, and internal teams.
  • Proficient in documentation, reporting, and MS Office applications.

  • Reduction in NCRs and customer complaints
  • Effectiveness of CAPA implementation
  • On-time audit closures and documentation accuracy
  • Continuous improvement initiatives implemented

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM6,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
