Responsibilities
- End-to-End Payroll Operations
Handle full-cycle payroll operations for Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries, including salary calculation, social security and provident fund contributions (SOCSO/EPF, etc.), income tax computation and filing, salary disbursement, and payslip distribution. Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing with zero errors.
- Regional Payroll Management
Oversee payroll-related activities across Malaysia and Southeast Asia. Stay well-versed in local statutory compensation and benefits policies, tax regulations, and ensure compliant payroll calculation, statutory filings, and seamless cross-regional payroll process coordination.
- Payroll Data Maintenance
Maintain payroll records for Malaysia and Southeast Asian regions. Timely update employee compensation information (onboarding, salary adjustments, terminations, benefits changes, etc.) to ensure data accuracy and integrity, supporting payroll data analytics.
- Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with internal finance and HR teams, as well as overseas local outsourcing service providers/tax agencies. Handle payroll-related coordination, resolve issues during salary disbursement and filing processes, and ensure smooth payroll operations.
- Compliance & Risk Management
Monitor updates and changes to compensation and benefits laws and regulations in Malaysia and Southeast Asian countries. Ensure company compensation systems and operational procedures comply with local statutory requirements, mitigating payroll compliance risks.
- Employee Support & Compensation Optimization
Address employee inquiries regarding compensation (salary details, benefits policies, personal income tax, etc.) to enhance employee payroll experience. Assist in annual compensation surveys, salary adjustment plan formulation and implementation, and support compensation system optimization.
- Reporting & Analytics
Compile payroll-related data reports. Regularly output payroll calculation reports, labor cost analysis reports, etc., to provide data support for company labor cost control and compensation decision-making.
- Process Standardization
Assist in improving overseas compensation management systems and operational procedures. Standardize payroll practices in Malaysia and Southeast Asia to enhance overseas payroll management efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience: 2-5 years of payroll-related work experience. Must have hands-on experience with full-cycle payroll operations in Malaysia, plus at least 1 year of payroll experience in other Southeast Asian regions (Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, etc.). Familiar with local payroll calculation and statutory filing processes.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in Malaysia's statutory welfare policies (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, personal income tax, etc.). Familiar with compensation and benefits compliance requirements, tax rules, and operational procedures across Southeast Asian regions. Solid professional knowledge in payroll management.
- Language Skills: English and Chinese as working languages, with fluent listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities. Capable of independently handling communications, coordination, and issue resolution with headquarters regarding overseas payroll matters.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, functions, etc.) and payroll management systems (e.g., SAP/Workday, etc.). Excellent data calculation skills, logical thinking, and attention to detail to ensure error-free payroll work.
- Soft Skills: Strong cross-departmental communication and collaboration skills, problem-solving abilities. Capable of independently handling various emergencies in overseas payroll management. High stress tolerance, able to efficiently complete parallel payroll work across multiple regions.
- Compliance Awareness: Familiar with HR-related laws and regulations. Strong compliance mindset, strictly controlling compliance risks in payroll work. Highly responsible.
- Preferred: Experience in payroll within e-commerce or advertising industries. Background in overseas enterprises/Chinese companies expanding abroad is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
