Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of building maintenance and facilities operations. This includes both strategic and day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure the safety, functionality, and efficiency of the premises.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance for building facilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment, utilities, and infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Monitor and coordinate work performed by external contractors and service providers
- Support fire safety systems maintenance, inspections, and emergency preparedness
- Oversee general building upkeep, including cleanliness and basic repairs
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and service schedules
- Assist in space management and ensure facilities are used efficiently
- Report any safety hazards or operational issues to management
Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant maintenance or technical experience
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures
- Ability to handle tools, equipment, and maintenance tasks independently
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Skills
- Experience in building or facilities maintenance
- Knowledge of fire safety systems and building regulations
- Ability to coordinate with contractors and vendors
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,900.00 per month
Work Location: In person
