Description :

The Masking Operator is responsible for preparing parts and materials for processes such as painting, anodizing, or coating by applying masking materials (tapes, plugs, caps, etc.) to protect designated areas. The role ensures parts meet specifications and quality standards prior to further processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and masking instructions.
• Apply masking materials (tapes, liquid masks, caps, plugs, etc.) to specified areas of parts to protect surfaces during coating, painting, or anodizing.
• Remove masking after processing as required, ensuring no damage to the parts.
• Inspect masked parts for accuracy and conformance to masking specifications.
• Ensure proper handling of delicate or precision components.
• Use hand tools, precision cutting tools, and other equipment to aid in masking.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Report any defective or questionable materials or conditions to the supervisor.
• Assist in training new operators as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: SPM or equivalent; technical/vocational certification is a plus.
• Experience: Prior experience in masking, painting prep, or surface treatment is an advantage.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions, drawings, and specifications.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing or coating processes.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,400.00 per month
