Job Title: Director of Operations
Salary: RM12,000 - RM15,000

Job Summary:
The Director of Operations plays a critical leadership role within the resort’s executive team, overseeing the strategic planning, coordination, and performance of all operational departments. This position is focused on high-level management and alignment of operational activities with the resort's business objectives, brand standards, and guest satisfaction goals. While not directly involved in day-to-day operations, the Director ensures efficiency, profitability, and excellence across all functions through effective oversight and collaboration with departmental leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Oversight & Direction

  • Provide executive-level direction to operational departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, F&B, Security, and Recreation.
  • Align operational initiatives with the resort’s strategic vision, business objectives, and service quality benchmarks.
  • Ensure full compliance with corporate policies, brand standards, and regulatory requirements.

Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead and support department heads, driving performance through clear KPIs and a culture of accountability.
  • Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence across all departments.
  • Serve as the key link between executive leadership and operations, ensuring clear communication and consistent execution.

Planning & Coordination

  • Oversee the development and implementation of operational plans, budgets, and forecasts in collaboration with Finance and other HODs.
  • Review and approve departmental strategies and ensure synergy across divisions.
  • Analyze reports and data to drive informed strategic decisions and performance enhancements.

Policy Development & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain operational policies and procedures at the executive level.
  • Ensure all activities meet legal, ethical, and brand compliance standards.
  • Provide high-level oversight of crisis management, health and safety standards, and risk mitigation measures.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

  • Collaborate with senior executives on strategic initiatives and capital projects.
  • Represent operations in meetings with owners, auditors, and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver clear, insightful reports on operational performance and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in hospitality operations, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Strong strategic planning, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple departments through effective delegation and oversight.
  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and decision-making abilities.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
