Description :
1. Job Purpose
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily maintenance operations, ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities are well maintained, safe, and functioning efficiently in accordance with hotel standards and safety regulations.
2. Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Operations
- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Assign work orders and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
- Conduct routine inspections of rooms and facilities to identify defects and maintenance needs.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are implemented effectively.
Technical & Maintenance Works
- Oversee maintenance works including air-conditioning, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and basic civil works.
- Attend to emergency repairs and urgent maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate closely with Housekeeping and Front Office on room defects and room readiness.
- Liaise with contractors and service providers for specialized repair works.
- Provide clear handover and updates during shift changes.
Safety, Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, safety standards, and statutory requirements (e.g. DOSH, fire safety).
- Assist in maintaining maintenance records, logs, and inspection reports.
- Support workplace safety initiatives and emergency response procedures.
People Management
- Guide, train, and supervise maintenance staff to ensure quality workmanship.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of assigned team members.
- Promote teamwork and a safe working culture within the department.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,700.00 per month
