Founded on a love for quality ingredients and creative recipes, we specialize in a wide range of products including artisanal breads, decadent cakes, delicate pastries, and signature cookies. Now, we are seeking a Western Chef to join our team.

Responsibilities :

1. Food Preparation & Cooking

  • Prepare, cook, and serve dishes according to standard recipes and restaurant quality guidelines.
  • Ensure every dish maintains consistent taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Prepare raw ingredients, including cutting, cleaning, marinating, and storing them using proper methods.

2. Quality Control & Food Presentation

  • Ensure the quality of each dish is at its best before being served to customers.
  • Supervise plating and food presentation to ensure it is visually appealing and meets restaurant standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of kitchen cleanliness, cooking equipment, and raw ingredients.

3. Kitchen Operations Management

  • Plan and manage kitchen work schedules, including task delegation within the kitchen team.
  • Supervise kitchen operations during peak hours to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Resolve any kitchen-related issues such as ingredient shortages, equipment breakdowns, or special customer requests.

4. Inventory & Stock Management

  • Monitor daily stock of raw ingredients, condiments, and overall kitchen needs.
  • Place purchase orders (ordering) with suppliers based on kitchen requirements.
  • Ensure all stocks are stored using the First In First Out (FIFO) system to maintain freshness.

5. Hygiene, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure the kitchen is always clean and compliant with food safety standards.
  • Oversee equipment sanitation and ensure all staff follow hygiene SOPs.
  • Prevent cross-contamination and ensure strict adherence to kitchen safety regulations.

6. Menu Development & Improvement

  • Assist in developing new menu items, testing new recipes, and planning menu updates.
  • Evaluate customer feedback and improve dishes or kitchen processes when necessary.

7. Cost Control & Waste Management

  • Control food cost through efficient ingredient usage and minimising wastage.
  • Implement portion control according to SOP to maintain consistent food costing.

8. Team Leadership & Training

  • Provide guidance and training to the kitchen team.
  • Monitor team performance and offer coaching to maintain and improve work standards.
