Job Overview

The QAQC Inspector ensures that all products, processes, and activities comply with quality (ISO 9001, API Q1, API Spec 6D) and HSE (ISO 45001) standards. This role involves conducting inspections, overseeing testing, maintaining calibration schedules, and identifying non-conformances. By enforcing strict quality and safety controls, the QAQC Inspector helps minimize defects, reduce costs, and uphold the company’s reputation for operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage ISO 9001, ISO 45001, API Q1, and API Spec 6D compliance for Valser Group and subsidiaries.
• Keep quality and HSE-related records current, organized, and accessible.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product compliance with specifications.
• Execute performance and functional testing as per established procedures.
• Ensure manufacturing follows approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and progress reports.
• Inspect and service fire protection systems to meet safety standards.
• Identify defects, assist in root cause analysis, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Compile non-conformance data, analyse root cause, and suggest process enhancements.
• Submit timely inspection reports and maintain calibration and quality records for audits.
• Participate in training sessions and promote QAQC awareness within the team.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Oil & Gas-related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in QA/QC inspection
• Prior involvement in Turnaround Activities (TAP), shutdown projects, or related operations.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, API Q1, and API Spec 6D standards.
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, disciplined, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Additional Requirements (Advantageous but not mandatory)

• Exposure in oil & gas, marine, or valve manufacturing industry is an advantage.
• CIDB, OGSP, or BOSIET certification
• Completion of QA/QC awareness training or fire-fighting training
• Pressure and leak testing course certification

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
