Jawatan Kosong ENVIRONMENT OFFICER in Labuan
Description :
- Support the company in ensuring all oil & gas operations are carried out in compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and permit requirements.
- Monitor day-to-day environmental activities at site to ensure good environmental practices are consistently applied.
- Identify potential environmental risks and impacts related to operations and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Oversee waste management activities, including scheduled waste handling, storage, labeling, and disposal in accordance with DOE requirements.
- Monitor emissions, effluent discharge, and other environmental parameters to ensure compliance with regulatory limits.
- Conduct regular site inspections, environmental monitoring, and internal environmental audits.
- Ensure findings from inspections and audits are properly recorded, tracked, and closed out in a timely manner.
- Prepare, maintain, and update environmental documentation, records, and reports required by authorities, clients, and internal management.
- Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System (EMS), including ISO 14001.
- Support EIA and EMP implementation activities and ensure all mitigation measures are effectively carried out at site.
- Work closely with operations, HSE teams, contractors, and project personnel to promote environmental awareness and accountability.
- Conduct environmental briefings, toolbox talks, or awareness sessions for employees and contractors.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Preferably SABAHAN/LABUAN.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Registered Environmental Officer (REO) with DOE (Malaysia) is an added advantage.
- Minimum 2-4 years of working experience in environmental management.
- (Focus in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power-BI is a plus point.
- Good knowledge of Malaysian environmental laws, regulations, and DOE requirements.
- Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
- Willing to travel and work at site or field locations when required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with site teams and stakeholders.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
