Logistics assistant, plays a crucial support role in the day-to-day operations. Here's an overview of the typical job scope for a transport company runner:

1. Document Management: Collect and deliver important documents related to shipments. Ensure all paperwork is properly filed and organized. Assist in preparing documentation for customs clearance

2. Courier Services: Deliver urgent packages or documents to clients, partners, or government office. Pick up necessary signatures or approvals for time-sensitive documents

3. Vehicle Support: Assist in vehicle inspections before and after trips. Help with basic vehicle maintenance tasks (e.g., checking fluid levels, tire pressure). Wash and clean vehicles as needed

4. Driver Support: Assist drivers with loading and unloading of cargo when necessary. Guide drivers in tight parking situations. Provide directions or local knowledge to drivers when needed

5. Customer Service: Occasionally interact with customers for package pickups or deliveries. Provide basic information about shipment status when interacting with clients.

6. Equipment Management: Help maintain and organize equipment used in transport operations. Assist in the distribution and collection of necessary tools or devices for drivers.

7. Ad-hoc Tasks: Be available to handle various unexpected tasks that may arise. Assist in setting up for company events or meetings.

8. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols in the warehouse and on the road. Report any safety concerns or hazards observed during duties.

9. Basic Administrative Tasks: Data entry of simple information into company systems. Assist in preparing simple reports or summaries

This role requires a high level of energy, good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. A runner needs to be flexible and ready to assist in various capacities as the needs of the transport company change throughout the day. While it's often an entry-level position, it provides valuable exposure to different aspects of the transport and logistics industry.

Customs Formalities: Basic Knowledge in customs documentation and EDI declaration is an advantage

SPM / O Level / SKM Level 1 / SKM Level 2 / SKM Level 3 or Equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,200.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
