Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to increase revenue across all market segments, including corporate, leisure, group, and event sales.
- Identify and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team, setting clear performance objectives and conducting regular performance evaluations.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure the team remains competitive and up-to-date with industry trends.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including corporate accounts, travel agents, event planners, and tour operators.
- Actively seek out new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
Revenue Management:
- Work closely with the revenue management team to develop pricing strategies and optimize revenue through effective yield management.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, occupancy rates, and revenue targets, adjusting strategies as needed.
Marketing Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns, digital marketing efforts, and advertising strategies.
- Ensure that all marketing materials align with the brand’s image and effectively communicate the resort/hotel’s unique value proposition.
Contract Negotiation:
- Negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that meet the resort/hotel’s revenue goals.
- Handle any contractual disputes or issues that may arise with professionalism and efficiency.
Event Coordination:
- Oversee the planning and execution of events, conferences, and group bookings, ensuring all client requirements are met and events run smoothly.
- Work closely with the operations and catering teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Analyze sales data to identify areas for growth and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Customer Experience:
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by working closely with the front office and guest services teams to address any issues or feedback.
- Maintain a visible presence within the resort/hotel, interacting with guests to gather feedback and build relationships.
Compliance and Ethics:
- Ensure that all sales activities comply with the resort/hotel’s policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the hospitality industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a resort or hotel environment.
Certifications:
- Certification in Sales or Hospitality Management (preferred).
- Any relevant certifications in Revenue Management or Sales Management are advantageous.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
