Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Leadership

• Develop and present creative design concepts in line with client requirements and project goals.
• Lead the development of space planning, material selection, lighting, color palettes, and furniture layouts.
• Guide junior designers and draftsmen to produce design drawings and presentations.

2. Project Management

• Manage multiple interior design projects simultaneously, from concept to completion.
• Prepare project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors.

3. Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Conduct client meetings, site visits, and presentations.
• Understand and interpret client briefs and translate them into design solutions.
• Provide expert advice on interior design and material finishes.

4. Documentation & Technical Oversight

• Oversee the production of detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation (e.g., mood boards, FF&E schedules, construction drawings).
• Ensure design intent is accurately translated into construction documents.
• Review and approve shop drawings and material samples.

5. Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure that all design work complies with accessibility standards, and safety regulations.
• Perform quality control checks during project implementation.

6. Team & Resource Management

• Mentor and guide junior designers and interns.
• Allocate resources efficiently and assist in the recruitment of new design team members when necessary.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in interior design.
• Portfolio demonstrating a range of project types and styles.
• Strong conceptual and creative thinking.
• Advanced knowledge of design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong presentation and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
• Up-to-date knowledge of interior design trends, materials, and products.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Freelance, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
