Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all financial operational activities for three (3) branches.
- Handle full spectrum of day-to-day accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and related finance reporting duties.
- Guide and mentor junior team members to support their professional development.
- Ensure accounting records are accurately maintained, properly reconciled, and updated on a timely basis.
- Process monthly staff claims accurately and within stipulated timelines.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure alignment with system records.
- Verify and process various invoices, including fees, kids’ meals, travel client invoices, and other related billings.
- Review and approve monthly claims, ensuring completeness of receipts and supporting documentation.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from auditors, bankers, cosec, external accounts team and other relevant parties.
- Review accounting records and process back charge debit notes when required.
- Assist in preparing invoices and managing petty cash for consultation events such as Open Day.
- Prepare cash and payment vouchers, and perform reconciliation of bank and credit card statements.
- Maintain systematic and organized filing systems to ensure easy retrieval of documents.
- Analyze monthly profit and loss variances, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Prepare and submit E-Invoices accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support payroll processing and related payroll matters.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting exercises.
- Monitor aging reports for payables and receivables, ensuring timely clearance.
- Ensure timely renewal of branch licenses and related compliance matters.
- Liaise with Company Secretary (Cosec) on annual returns and other corporate secretarial matters.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, or Accountancy with 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities for guiding junior staff.
- Proficient in advanced financial analysis and interpretation.
- Proficiency in accounting tools like Xero and Microsoft Office is an advantage, and a solid grasp of accounting principles.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, for interactions with stakeholders.
- Keen attention to detail for precise financial reporting and compliance.
- Ability to handle changing business demands and take on new responsibilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills for resolving complex financial issues.
- Ability to understand the nature of the business operations and translate operational activities into accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
